Hi guys,

i have recently developed a strange shifting behavior in my 2013 G550

when the car is COLD , the first couple of shifts are strange. Specifically the 1st to 2nd gear hesitates to shift for a second. It always goes in but there is a tiny hesitation. This only happens once or twice in a drive, then goes away and shifts are normal. All other gears are normal too

any ideas?

 

Check your transmission fluid level first low fluid acts up when cold. Could also be a sticky valve body or old fluid. Try a drain and fill (not a flush) with OEM fluid. If that doesn’t help, might be the conductor plate starting to fail. Common on these 7-speeds.
