Windshield replacement and rust repair in NYC metro
Looking for a body shop in the NJ / NYC metro area that actually knows how to handle corrosion remediation properly on older Mercedes, specifically W463s. I’m trying to avoid the typical filler/sand/buff approach and find a shop that will actually remove glass, inspect/treat backside corrosion, seal things properly, etc.
Truck is an otherwise clean 2014 G550 that lived in TX and NC until I got it last year with localized windshield frame rust and early bubbling on the left rear quarter/fender area next to the tailgate. Trying to address it correctly before it becomes a larger issue.
Would really appreciate recommendations from anyone who has had long-term success with a shop that genuinely understands rust repair versus cosmetic collision work.
