I'm 6'3" and 230lbs, athletic build and I must say that I have ample room in the cabin. Have never bumped into anything. I also never use the side step and just step into the vehicle from the ground. Perhaps its how you are entering or exiting?

I kept bumping it, and my knee moved the headlight switch a couple times. I consciously avoid it now that I know it's there. The switch should have been recessed, but I think this module is common to several other MB models where its location is different, and isn't not a problem.
