I greatly appreciate all the back and forth Baltistyle dialed in the answer quite well as the root of my question was assertaining whether or not the switch would work given all the sensors in these new trucks. It is not a matter of stopping power that will ride the decision. Stand by for final results in the coming weeks. I found this thread because I?m interested in doing the exact same thing to my G63 and I was curious if anyone has done it. I want to fit 18? wheels, so I can run real off road tires (and I see no reason to run trash can lid front brakes and 22?s).

FYI, my dealer (Mercedes Benz Littleton) told me it's not possible to fit G550 brakes on a G63. Different mounting points for stuff and whatnot. They said they've attempted it before and it's not really doable without putting a G550 axle on. But, for fitting 18" wheels, I have it on good authority that these 18's will clear G63 brakes https://alphaequipt.com/products/ac1...39681410596963
