I have the basic smart box and it works perfect with wireless carplay. Not safe or legal to watch TV on the screen while driving anyways!

Ordering.
If this works, thats all I need... could care less about video. I just want to get in and not have to plug in, to have CarPlay as specced, but wireless would be awesome.

I've had a wireless carplay dongle before and even added a magsafe wireless charging mount.
But the 10-15 second delay of having my phone connect to the dongle was enough for me to just go back to wired. The wireless charger also couldn't keep up with the rate at which carplay depleted my battery so my phone would have less charge after each drive. So consider charging.
