Thanks
I didn't have any problem get my 10k in tint and ppf covered, but I did my buyback last spring. My buddy is doing it on his now, we got at them at the same time and he had them mail him a check for 50k instead of returning it during the first recall. Now he is doing the buyback and they are paying for his tint and new aftermarket exhaust he told me. So I wouldn't expect any problems

So as far as anyone knows they plan to fix them? I've been looking at buying another one.

Hopefully they will be accommodating with the extra expenses since I spent about $65K for various accessories from custom wheels, ppf, power side steps, etc. I'll keep everyone posted on what happens

GMC Denali 2500, Stronger than Time G63
I wonder what Mercedes will do after buying back 600 + of square models? Change them back to Regular G63 and dump them back in Used market in US or other markets ??

The dealer told me today they that Mercedes will reach out to each owner to discuss options but that we would be able to keep the truck. He was not very specific, but it is encouraging sounds they have a fix. I am anxious to hear something firm on options and timeframe. Ready to rack some miles up.

Sure would've been nice if they gave people with MY24 allocations the option to have their 4x4 Squareds built and sit around. Not everyone wants a buyback. Some want the car itself.

If my guy is right and they repair them a guy can probably pickup a 23. I'm with you I want the car. Seems a lot of people have been selling back. Good luck.

I've been looking at used since my 24 was canceled. Wish someone knew more details on the fix they have planned before I pulled the trigger.

The sad part is that there are a bunch of them sitting at the VPC and in Germany, and I bet half those buyers will be backing out. If only MBUSA did some re-allocation of them to serious buyers.

They will be all eventually released into the market for which they were manufactured once fixed. Either through the dealers if still unsold or on the auction block if they were buy backs. Even right now with the Stop Sale and Do Not Drive in effect there are 83 of them listed with many brand new 2022s and 2023s available on the market. If you are looking for one you can make a deal below MSRP on many of them and make a deposit and sign the contract with deferred full
payment and titling until the fix has been completed.

I’ve seen several come on the secondary market as lemon/buy back vehicles. Anyone know if the warranty will still be valid?

As of now they will not deliver anymore cars even though they have been produced. A repair is going to take 12-24 months. For US customers Mercedes is going to be giving a loaner Maybach SUV or buying back the vehicle.

Did this come from a dealer or Mecedes Corporate? So far the local dealers seems to know very little. Thanks

This is painful. I got my VIN and it seemed like if it was produced we'd be getting them. Thus, I confirm my order for the electric running boards (not cheap); which ironically arrived Friday. Now, it seems I don't have a car and have $10k+ of running boards for a car that sort of doesn't exist. Heavy Sigh

The 4x4 is still under a stop sale so even if it was manufactured and shipped to your local VPC, MB will not release the vehicle to your dealer until the stop sale is lifted which could be months from now.

how do you initiate the buyback process? Through your dealer or through MBUSA? Any info would be appreciated. I’m in the same boat. 2023, added side steps and full PPF.
