I've recently noticed that there are several dealers that have a new, identical '23 G550 available. They are all equipped the same, with MSRP of 158920. Was there a special run of black G550s made with the Exclusive Interior Package Plus and the AMG line?
Got some more info on this. Apparently a bunch of dealers got a "manual allocation" whatever that means.
Those are unplanned, unscheduled allocations that Mercedes-Benz will throw periodically to dealers. Like these, they are often the same or very, very similar and rarely "out there" with colors or options.
These "manual" unexpected allocations are usually either special editions (with limited special colors and options and significantly marked up MSRPs) or due to an oversupply of the inventory of certain parts for some options so they run a batch of cars with those parts and options to correct the inventory levels.
I was in getting my 2021 G550 warranty done (front end wiring harness) and asked them if they had any new G550s. They had three as I recall, two black and one gray. I didn't care for the gray with black wheels but liked the black w/silver wheels. Exactly as mentioned, higher interior and AMG package. Paid sticker and walked out with a new car after trading in the 21.

This is MB's strategy to keep the factory full without advertising there is excess inventory -- produce a "limited" number of "special editions" priced well above the base MSRP. Buyers think they're getting something exceptionally unique and dealers can continue charging ADMs.
$10K is bargain basement pricing compared to some current ADMs and what was common a year and two ago. Anyone have an image of the window sticker configuration for this special build?
