eco mode vs comfort in stop in go city traffic with the g550

Does Eco mode really make a difference while driving in the city where there is stop-and-go traffic? Or is Eco mode mainly designed for highway driving? (with the 2021 g550)

The eco mode is for the highway. It shifts to a higher gear sooner and wants to stay in the highest gear possible when cruising. I used eco mode on a 6hr highway trip and my 2023 G550 averaged 18-19mpg. I doubt you would see that mpg in stop and go traffic with eco mode. Also of note, the 2023 models onward no longer have auto stop/start.
