I’ve searched the forum and web for people’s experience with Akrapovic exhaust for the w463a. I was debating on this or doing catted downpipes to enhance the exhaust note. Only issue with downpipes is passing smog since I’m in California, which I don’t wanna deal with the hassle. So that’s why I thought Akrapovic would be a good idea since the exhaust sounds great, although I do prefer the look of the oem amg exhaust tips.

I have it on mine, sounds awesome! Has a great tone with the valves closed, which is mostly how I drive it. When you open them, it gives a good “bark” kind of reminds me of a 4 stroke MX bike but it’s not overbearing like some of the others out there. I’ve always liked my cars obnoxiously loud, previously had a decatted LP640 and C63 black series. This is no where near those but satisfies that desire for more of an exhaust note.

my stock exhaust sounds extremely restrictive. Almost like a "leaky" exhaust at times.

I think aftermarket would help. What are my options? nothing obnoxious. Just free flowing and simple.

Yes most definitely worth it, Sounds much more aggressive and deeper tone.
