Interesting Road & Track article
Road & Track posted an article yesterday on the G, “The G-Class Is Mercedes’ Three-Ton Cash Cow” -- here is a link:
https://www.roadandtrack.com/news/a6...-ton-cash-cow/
Thought it was noteworthy that the G now outsells the S-Class in the U.S. Presumably for 2025 that will continue since the ICE Gs receive various updates, the electric G goes on sale, and the facelifted S-Class seems like it will be a 2026 model. The article has some other statistics and demographic information which may be of interest.

Parity closer than ever between every car 5 and 6 figures in terms of comfort, luxury, technology etc... if you want something different: G-class!
Sold my 21, regretted it, sold my 24, regretted it, ordered 25 and hopefully learned my lesson

What did you replace them with when sold? I had a yukon before I got my first G...63. Absolutely love it! Lord willing, will always drive a G.

All's well that ends well, as I like the spec of my incoming 2025 the best

Haha I had gone through 3 Cayenne Turbos before I came onto G63s, but the 21 got traded for a Porsche 911 and the 24 for a Ferrari. But, I've realized now do not compromise the daily driver, that's a priority over the sports car because that's the car you'll drive the most, in the most variable conditions from roadtrips to groceries to moving and everything in-between, versus the sports car mainly for that fun Sunday drive

Makes sense, I'm with you. 9 times out of 10, I'm always grabbing the keys for the G because it's such an event even at low speeds, looks great, comfortable, don't have to clench and worry about driveway angles and ramp angles to scrape, don't have to worry too much about potholes or uneven roads, don't have to worry about rain, it takes everything stress free.. I guess we're part of the reason why the G is becoming the halo car for Benz!
