2020 g63 loose sunroof sunshade loose

Hello all, just picked up a 2020 G63. While driving I noticed the sunroofs sunshade is quite loose and slides when accelerating. Has anyone else noticed this or have the same problem? And if so, any solutions? Took mine to the dealer and they ordered a new sunshade but can't guarantee it will fix the issue. Service rep says they have noticed it on other G wagons.

I have seen it on a few videos on the G63...when people gun it, the shade slides back/open.

Unfortunately, my G550, even with a Renntech tune, doesn’t have that issue.

Dealer told me that it comes down to how the sunshade comes from factory. Apparently Mercedes is losing its Quality Control lol.

I wish I wasn't so **** about this issue. I kills me though when I know how expensive the car is. It's funny, I had a 2018 and the quality seems to have been better on the older model.

The acceleration on these cars is crazy. Again, as I mentioned, I had a 2018 (previous body), car seemed well balanced. On this car, I'm still trying to get use to the torque and the size. Previous body in my opinion was more nimble.

LOL in what way? The old one was heavier, the power was unpredictable when it would kick in and it handled like a tractor.... It was literally less nimble in every sense.

You can feel the extra length and width in the new one in my opinion. To me the old one felt quicker because it was smaller. Just my two cents. I have only had the new G for about month. Not a daily driver so Im still adjusting.

Haha! I have Renntech on my 550 as well and regret not having this issue.

Fair enough. I've only driven the previous G63 once but it was a terrible ride. The new one felt more balanced and responsive to me. Either way I totally get not having it as a daily since I plan on getting a beater as well once its my turn for an allocation!

Picking up car tomorrow. Service rep says no more sliding. Apparently it is a hit and miss regarding fitment.
