I have a 2020 with less than 4K miles and the service indicator has come on. What’s the risk if I don’t do the recommended service? I know synthetic is supposed to be good for at 10k miles.

 

How long have you owned it/put into service? It is recommended to change it yearly no matter the mileage.

 

I can confirm this. The service indicator counts days as well as miles. My G550 began advising me of an impending Service A about 30 days in advance of 365 days of use, despite having only about 6K miles on it.
