2021 G63 Order Allocation Available

I keep getting offered 50k over then a week later they call me back with something in the 30s... I've talked to probably 8 dealers. I'm at the point where if it was 5-10k over I'd probably just pay it despite it making me angry... but can't even find that deal. If anybody has dealer contacts that will sell at or close to MSRP let me know (I know its a long shot but you never know who's looking)... I'm in socal.

I think MSRP in today's market is an illusion. I paid $140K for my 2019 G550, for which some dealers now are asking close to $160K used. Am I willing to sell it for $110K simply because it's 2 yrs old with 10K miles, and just to be a nice guy and conform with used car normalcy? I think not. Dealers are pricing Gs in response to market demand. Don't be angry with them - be angry with other buyers who are paying these absurd ADMs, and be thankful there are others (such as I) whose unwillingnes to pay a $30K ADM is keeping the ADMs from becoming $80K.

2014 3,051
2015 3,616
2016 3,950
2017 4,188
2018 3,593
2019 6,092
2020 7,723
2021 4,570 (to date)
and every unit is sold usually before it lands on shore. Shutting off supply for 12 months will lead to market mayhem. Expect dealers to go the ebay auction route when deliveries resume, with cars going out the door for 2x+ MSRP. It will take several years for normalcy ($50K ADMs) to return.

I have my 21 g63 listed with a $50k markup and have had offers in the $40-$50k range. Was about to sale it but after the announcement of no more 22 G63s I think I’m going to keep it and see what the market is going to do. I don’t see any signs of the price going anywhere but up and doubt I’ll find a replacement within a year if 2 years.

Not worth it to sell and buy something else....whatever you buy will cost you 2-3K per month of depreciation....and eat up your G63 profits quick
And I think you will get back MSRP on your G, for quite a while
You have to drive something.....as I daily mine

feeling pretty good from where we are all sitting now.... took delivery of mine just over a week ago and already have had 3 calls offering ridiculous over MSRP...I am not selling and this may be the year to keep for a while, could very well be the last of the G63 V8's - the next hybrid may be nice as well but I am guessing a watered-down version

I've barely driven mine - not even 5,000 miles since buying in December. I'm driving it more because I think even with more miles than planned, I'll still get MSRP back.

It’s absolutely nuts out there. I saw an instagram ad for a broker in LA offering “top dollar” for used Gs. For fun, I sent over my VIN. He offered $80k over sticker for my now used 63, or rather $50k over what I paid last month. 😳

Which means he/she has someone on the hook for $100K over.

I say there should be a thread here with names of dealers who are gouging customers with crazy AMD's and then when things get back to normal and dealers are begging for business, you can make the right call. I've said it before, I have never paid an ADM on any new car or truck and never will. I took delivery of my 21 AMG last month and paid MSRP... since then we have bought any other car from the dealer group and referred 4 others ( friends and employees) who have bought new cars recently...This dealer has earned a life-long loyal customer... I can't imagine I would ever give my business or refer a friend to a dealer that conducts their business this way.

I called SLC, Draper, Farmington, and St George when I was looking - all were gouging prices for the G’s they had between $35-50k (even when I lied and said I lived in Park City to be a ‘local’). I’m guessing you fall into the “Loyal Customer” bucket, which is definitely a thing.

It's a cruel world, but how else to allocate any item whose demand exceeds supply? If every dealer was selling at MSRP, the only Gs available would be from private party owners, who would be asking for $50K premiums over MSRP. Dealers could alternately (1) hold lotteries, (2) hold auctions, or (3) sell to most favored customers. At least with ADMs, anyone with a large wallet can decide how badly they want a G.

The Dealers make plenty of money through services, parts, add-ons, finance, MFG incentives, etc. There is no reason to gouge loyal customers. I am not a Ferrari guy, but they seem to have this under control with their dealers. it's just a matter of principal for me and has worked on several cars over the years that were tough to get. ( Ford GT, gt3Rs 4.0, GT2 RS, etc)
