Everyone who has their car post up a picture. These are great looking cars . They will be fixed eventually, and they can be enjoyed more. If anyone has the cherry wood floor post a picture of it. I do wish mine had the hardwood floor in the luggage compartment.
Who did you ask? I've been trying to figure out how to get one/buy one, etc. but haven't had any luck.
I asked MBUSA and also had my service advisor who was handling the recall follow up. Parts department took some time to locate one but was able to secure it for me as part of my compensation during the first recall.
Part #4636809410. It's double the price if you order one vs spec one from the factory so might not be worth it.
My real issue with this car is that Mercedes made 3 times as many of them as they did with the last generation essentially ruining its collectibility potential. The bad axle “do not drive” double recalls for more than a year in total so far was just the icing on the cake!
This is why so many owners who thought they have a collectible opted for the buy back!!
You can add it yourself, iirc its 3/4” stock... I’m gonna make a truckvault w ipe on my next one. My current one has a drawer thingie i built out of Walnut.
Received the call yesterday. The parts are in for the rear end recall. Should take about 2 weeks. Very excited to get this done. Ready for a big road trip.
I am looking and looking for information about a heater for the G63 4x4. When living in cold climate that is quite nice. I have had multiple G-wagons, all with heater but it seems like the 4x4 does not have it as an option? Find that odd on a car in that price range? Does the car have is as standard just not specified?

It feels a bit cheap on a car like that. Seems like MB are not able to mount OEM afterwards.
When looking I believe that both DEFA and Webasto nowadays only offer electric ones leaving me to put a cord in the wall every night to make it work the morning after. Feels like the 1980’s in a sense :-) so no one could actually order this from the factory? I am quite sure I had it on my old g500 4x4 but then start it with the small remote.
yeah I know. I have to open the hood on mine to plug it in even though the plug sits nicely next to the battery. didn't have to use it much except only when it gets really really cold outside.
I have to use it everyday wintertime and I am used to the MB app where I simply start the heater when I wake up. Too bad cause I love the 4x4 but it will a deal breaker for me not to be able to pre-heat the car from my phone. I really hate to remove ice manually from the windows, especially when you need a ladder to do it :-)
