DIY isn't difficult (especially fluid checks - "unscrew cap, look in, replace cap"), and can save you much money on stuff such as washer fluid and wiper blades. But if you're short on time, my understanding that a basic A Service runs about $400 (maybe more now with 9.1% inflation) which is an oil & filter change and fluids top off (if required).

Try and find a local Indy shop. I have one in my area that only works on MB models and the prices are at least half the cost of the dealer. And even if you cannot find a shop that works on only MBs I am sure you can find a European-only shop.
