Just curious how many others have noticed either of their exterior rearview mirrors vibrate at higher speeds. At speeds higher than 55MPH my 2020 G63 exterior rearview mirror on the drivers side vibrates (just the mirror glass itself). The passenger side is fine. Has anyone had luck with the mirror glass vibration issue getting successfully fixed? My dealership has “fixed” (unsuccessfully) it twice and still no difference (they replaced the mirror motor).
Dealer tried to fix the mirror glass vibration again. Replaced motor again. Placed extra sealant inside to prevent wind entry in and around mirror glass. There is still vibration... No real difference...
3rd time now that the dealership tried to fix the mirror glass vibration. Disassembled the door and mirror completely, placed more sealant inside to prevent wind entry in and around mirror glass, and replaced the mirror glass itself, and there is still vibration... No real difference... Anyone else have any luck with correcting the drivers sider mirror glass vibration at speeds above 50mph?
I might have this issue with my 2021, but didn't know it was coming from the mirror housing
Thought for the longest time there was a clip loose on the driver's side door panel on my G63 because with some heavier bass songs at louder volumes I would hear a rattle, and my dealer replaced something internal on the door card to fix it. But the rattle is still there for me, realized even with music off over some bumps or longer drives I still hear the rattle. Coming from somewhere near the seat adjustment buttons on the driver's side door is where I hear it
It’s not a rattle of the mirror glass. No sound issues, just movement that makes it hard to see clearly what’s behind you while driving on highway. Only happens on drivers side.
Update: So after several attempts and replacing every part in/on/around the driver side rear view mirror by the dealership the mirror glass still vibrates. After the fact, the dealership contacted MB in Germany to get further guidance and they now state the mirror vibration is "normal" due to engine/tires/suspension... however that makes no sense b/c there is no vibration in the passenger's side mirror. A kia's rearview mirror glass doesn't even vibrate... On top of that they've scratched my vehicle and they left cheap beige foam hanging out at the bottom of the mirror glass. See pics. What a pathetic answer and a terrible and unacceptable job attempted by an MB dealership in Raleigh.
