I have a 21 G63, when I unlock the doors I can hear the mechanism unlocking and locking from outside. When I press in on the button, the door wont open. It kind of feels like the door are still locked and there is no tension on the button when pressed in. I can hear the lock actuator working every time I lock and unlock. The older models used to have a rear handle on the tailgate, is there any hidden handle or pull strap to release the rear door? The manual does not provide any useful information.
My question is how will the dealer unlock the door without any access to removing the panel?
I have had similar issues with the passenger doors. Usually it's because the latch isn't fully engaged when cycling the locks. Unlock the doors and then give the door a healthy push to "close" it. This will engage the latch allowing the release button to work again.

The rear seat cushion flips forward and the seat back folds down, so climbing into the cargo space is the easy part. Prying the panel and trim pieces off to access the mechanism requires knowing where the release points are. But your dealer's service tech should know how to do this.
