US configurator offline?

Did they just take it down recently? Is this in preparation for 2023 MY reveal or just website update?

They took it down recently to switch from 2021 to 2022. When it comes back online it’ll be for 2022. Don’t give them that much credit to be ready for the 2023’s anytime soon.

I guess that makes sense.

This is what it shows for me… “build coming soon” where the button is supposed to be.

Yes they are finally updating the configurator to the MY 2022. Crazy and insulting for a company like Daimler Benz that proclaims to be on the cutting edge of technology especially considering we are almost in October and all the build slots for the rest of 2022 have been allocated. If anything, this portrays chaos within the company just like the decision to discontinue V8 engines last year and the production of 2021 models in early 2022 and the lack of parts and the delayed refreshes and the different colors available in Canada and Europe but not in the USA and the lack of will to crack down on dealers charging ADMs (Which erode loyalty to the brand) as in GMs case and the super ugly new electric cars and the 3 year delay in AMG one, etc, etc... Mercedes is starting to remind me of GM in the late 80s and 90s

If it's of any help, the German configurator is up. You can combine this with the DOG for current US pricing / options availability to get an idea of a particular build:

Let’s keep in mind they don’t even have a touchscreen in G’s yet. Why would they have an up to date configurator?
