NA 2022 Production/allocation numbers compared to upcoming 2023's
Was wondering if any insiders have any sort of numbers or percentages I could go off for 2022 G63 allocation numbers to dealers compared to previous years? I know the chip shortage played its part, as did the pause on all V8 production for a while but Im just trying to figure out if its possible for me to get a 2023 allocation from my dealer as Im scared of the electric/hybrid rumours for 2024.
Would appreciate anything from insiders or anyone who has info from their dealer.

For context, before the V8 pause I was #17 and now Im #12 and the 22's are now done which means my dealer only got 5 G63's for 22. My SA thinks there's a good chance mine will be a 23 but is more than doubling production feasible? Or was that the norm before the chip shortage and V8 pause?

I think it's unlikely that you will get a 2023. I don't see allocations doubling for next year. Right now, the 23 G wagens are scheduled for a winter 23 release. There are no allocations right now which to me rules out Jan-Mar 23. Makes me think they mean NEXT winter. The G 63 isn't going anywhere anytime soon. I would imagine that the car will be converted to the 48 volt V8 that is coming in other AMG models. I know there are those who cry havoc about that setup but I wouldn't worry about it. It's been a while since we've seen any issues with the battery packs.
The only hope Im clinging on to now is that production resumes to the somewhat normal levels of pre-covid.
