any easier to get a G in Germany and ship it to US

Hi,
Since prices and lines to order are crazy now.

Would it even make sense for a friend of mine who lives in Germany- buy it there and then ship it here to US?
Anyone has any experience with this route?
Thanks

There's another thread with the same question. Do a search. Short answer is no. The situation is no different in Germany. I have a colleague in the Stuttgart area who has a G. I forgot which specific one and what year, but non-AMG V8. He could sell it for crazy money if he wanted to at the moment. A lot of the G wagons on sale in Germany are reimported from Japan of all places. This is his second G and both came back from Japan. It's apparently very lucrative for specialized dealerships to reimport them and sell them in Germany.

Everyone would be doing this if it was a viable alternative.

For all intents and purposes this is an impossible task. Dont bother. Im sure could pay a $100k ADM to jump the line somewhere in the USA and you would still come out ahead money and time wise.

Market situation is same here in EU. In our market specifically, dealers stoped to take orders for the new ones because the waiting line is more then 2 years now. Also prices on used market is super high.
