G63 Bull Bar

Hi everyone.

I currently don't have a bull bar on my car, but have taken off the cover.

If I want to put a OEM one on, will I have to cut any of the plastic behind the cover at all?

I have seen the video where they take it off and it looks like its fairly straight forward to remove, but I am unsure on how to add...

thanks

it depends..

when you take off the bumper inserts/ covers (that hide the slots where the bull bar attaches) and notice a rectangular slot you are fine..you can get the associated hardware (bolts, covers, brackets, etc.)and install the oem bull bar, but if you have a plastic trim with circular holes (it actually means your bumper is different) then you'll need a new impact/ crash bar and hardware and cut rectangular slots into the bumper or buy the right bumper..

the way it works is that when you option the bull bar from factory the impact bar is smaller whilst the impact bar when not optioned is different and so are the bumper and other little things..

got it, so this is my bumper.

You're saying it may not be as simple as bolt on…

bolt on is possible but it's a little complicated.
this is exactly the bumper style I had. you'll need a new bumper or if you are ok to cut it then you'll have to cut alongside those indented lines to make room for a rectangular slot.
you'll need all these parts in the link below.. (you have to buy two of each)
https://www.mbparts.ca/v-2020-merced...nt-brush-guard
the impact bar..
https://mbparts.mbusa.com/oem-parts/...bar-4638805300
and if you want to properly cover the slot that you just made then the covers can be purchased as well..
4638859501 and 4638859801 (for the left and right sides)

check multiple sites for the parts..some sites are cheaper than the others..and remember all those sites with mboem in their names might not be genuine..for some parts going with a dealer might be cheaper..some dealers have their own online sites.
the mb collision shops do the install unless you can find someone else who has prior experience doing the install.

So I have got it.

Turns out I need to order part A4638805300
I can't fit the bar which is annoying!

Did you have to get this part or am I missing something?
