Storm Driving a G Wagon 2021 G550
Hello
Some observations of driving the G Wagon in last weekends storm in Lake Tahoe. Have owned a number of vehicles over the years (Subaru, Toyota Land Cruiser, MB ML, Raptor, F350 etc). This is the best vehicle for snow driving so far. Its really perfect. Only things I noticed with the cold temps 13-32 degrees F and snow.
- All doors can be hard to push button in to open due to ice
- Back door very hard to open due to ice on bumper
- Defrost works great
- Back up camera wont work when frozen along with windows
- Back window wiper does a great job of actually making things visible
- Wiper fluid would not come out
- Seat heaters work great, wish mine had heated steering wheel
- Stock tires are fine, never had traction issue going up steep snowy hills
- Power of engine is perfect, from Bay Area to Tahoe and back average mileage was 19 in comfort
I have only one other car I will not part with, and this is the second.

Front window freezes easily and the wipers are not very good for such a "military truck". States "heated windshield" but that is not true. not internally heated. has a defroster. NOT really the same thing.
