w463a g63 Headlight Swap need programming?
Picked up a set of used Headlights. Looking to swap out my chrome ones for black ones. These are off of the same year model 2020 G63. After I swap out the headlights is it plug and play or would they need to be programmed? I read somewhere on this forum for other models that only new headlights can be programmed and used ones are married to the car and cant be used on a different car. Is this true? Im about to start the process of removing the entire front end to replace them. Don't want to do all that work without confirming.

I remember when I got into an accident with a 2016 S63 and had to replace one of the headlights, yes it needed to be recalibrated!! I assume the same with any LED headlight, also I had to change the windshield on my Panamera and while the tech is recalibrating the camera, the tech said, I'm glad we don't have to calibrate the headlights !!

There should only be a headlight control module if anything extra. Your current one should be fine since the only diff is the housing color. So nothing should need to be programmed.
if you were swapping only control modules then they might need to be programmed. The control modules are the same use in most MB cars just have to be programmed to what options the car has.
