I visited the AMG factory and had the chance to inspect the facelifted G Series and relase confirmed in the first half of 2024. I can't share the exterior design(very few changes), but here is the interior of the new G Class.

Edit: Sorry I had to delete photos because I received a call from Mercedes

Ugh, not a fan of the capacitive buttons. The illuminated air vents are new and a nice touch... but hardly worth upgrading for. I'm happy to keep my 2019. Hopefully CarPlay will still be full-screen? I had a loaner 2023 E Class and I was disappointed that it didn't have full screen CarPlay.
I have an EQE on order, so I imagine it will share this interior.

So as predicted by many here, the interior gets: the new touchpad, new AMG steering wheel and auto start/stop makes a return (ugggghhhhh noooo).

Can you share anything about the engine set up for the refreshed G63? Mild hybrid or just the V8 (like the new GT/SL 63)?

The 2019-2023 has auto start-stop - the button is the same. Nothing new there. It can be defeated - the dealer did it on mine. Button still works, it's just off by default.

Engine will be the 4L V8 and Diesel (outside of NA) no change. No hybrid - full electric coming in 2025, EQE, which is not replacing the gas models.

Thanks for the pictures. Hopefully that auto start-stop button is for other markets.

As mentioned, it's in the current gen and it can be set to off by default. Your dealer can do it (if they are competent). Mine is set to off by default.

Mine wouldn't do it to either my GLC or GTC or C43 here in Canada. They referenced regulations as the reason why and said they would get in trouble. Not sure if that's just BS but it's what I was told. I did this for my BMW back in the day though, so I know it can easily be done.

In the US the 2023 and 2024 didn’t have auto start stop. I know some markets kept it though, guessing Canada is one of them?

I am top of list... will trade my 2022. Have brand new cls450 and AMGGT53 and i am very use to mbux now and my 2022 G63 infotainment feels dated.

So predictable! GLB or last gen E-class entertainment system and the rear camera will have no cover requiring cleaning if you need to see anything while reversing. Mercedes needs to start thinking out of the same parts bin and constant cost cutting if they want their flagship cars to remain relevant!!

I'm with you -- my 2019 has only 20K miles on it, and is still new to me. Surrendering it plus $100K for a 2024/25 version would not improve my life in any meaningful way.

Nope, we got the same cars the US did. No auto start/stop on 23s or 24s here hence my "ughhhh no it's returned for 25s" comment above.

Gotcha, thanks for the clarification. Guess it'll have to be put back into muscle memory upon startup right after turning off LKAS.

Agreed, LKAS is a deathtrap. Too many steps but my startup sequence will be: ABA off, LKAS off, Auto Start/Stop off and exhaust on.
