Plastic On Door Handle Peeling

Hi all

Has anyone else had the plastic peeling off the door handle around the button, like the picture, what can be used to touch them back in, unless the collar can be ordered separately? 2020 G350d UK car.

Thanks
Carl

Is that really plastic or just paint chipping? Do you want to try touch-up paint or a marker to touch it up?

Don't use a marker since the color tends to turn purple-ish...use paint, especially for such a large (relative) area.

Sorry guys I should've been clearer, I missed the word paint out of the initial post, Im hoping to find a paint like product that will dry to a plastic effect finish matching the handle finish.

The handles themselves seem to come with a hole for the lock to protrude through, searching brings up the lock but not this collar that the lock sits into, or atleast that's how it looks?

Bit surprised a 3 year old G wagon is peeling like that but I don't know what cleaning agents have been used on the vehicle in the past, or other cause, so cant be too critical.

If it is a factory defect then warranty should cover it?
