Tool Kit Help

Hey guys

Can anyone help me by sending a few pics of the tool kit thats usually kept under the rear seats, along with any part numbers on the various wrenches, jack adapter, extension bar etc please?

Mines missing so I want to replace, but have no faith in main dealers so want to tell that what i need.

Thanks
Carl

Is yours equipped with a bottle jack or scissor jack, or are you missing the jack also?

Here's a photo of the tool kit contents from my '19 G550.
The 3 chrome pieces snap together to form the jack pump arm.
The 2 dark anodized pieces are the lug bolt wrench (17mm / 11/16"). This is the only item that carries an MB p/n A463 581 03 00.
The blue handled screw driver lowers the jack.
Everything fits into the blue pouch with the white stiffener board.
The jack adapter is the small rubber piece on the left. You should find this stuck into a bracket near the top of the bottle jack storage area.

In addition to this tool kit, I pack the following items to assist in a tire change:
1. Foam kneeling pad (saves the knees)
2. Large plastic heavy duty trash bag (helps if working on a wet surface)
3. Flashlight (flats always happen at night)
4. 12"x12" plywood board to put under bottle jack (in the event of a soft surface)
5. Wheel chock(s) to support vehicle if parked on a slope
6. 14mm x 1.5 wheel hanger pins (2) (see photo below)

MB uses lug bolts (not nuts) and placing a new tire/wheel on the axle hub, holding it there while rotating it and getting a lug bolt seated is at best a 4 handed task. The hanger pins screw into the hub and allow you to hang the wheel and get a couple of lug bolts installed with only 2 hands. The pins then are removed and replaced with lug bolts. Try removing and re-installing a wheel without them, and you'll become a believer. You can find a set of 8 pins in 4 sizes online for about $30.

Thanks so much for the help that’s brilliant.

Re the hanger do you have a link to the ones you have, or an equivalent please? I agree they’ll be really useful

Thanks again

Awesome post! Have you found any clever ways to store this extra gear out of site? I’ve got a small Klein Tools padded pouch underneath the passenger bench on the driver side where the smaller pieces could fit, but have other gear I’d like to leave in the car in a hidden away place. (Wheel chocks, tire inflator and repair kit)

I manage to squeeze the tool items in a tool bag along with a collection of wrenches, pliers, gloves, hand wipes, etc. and (of course) duct tape. The knee cushion and plastic bag stow under the rear seat. My wheel chocks are collapsible so they are fairly compact.
