Hey all, This year I purchased a MY23 , GT63 awesome car!
I then put myself on a waitlist for a G63. Today, I received a call from my dealer. They offered me the Black Final Edition G550 at MSRP.
Is anyone seeing a mark ups on these ?
I am seeing a few videos on the Green, and White ones, I haven't seen any Black. Does anyone know how many Final Editions are being made, if so of that how many are black?
Any chance I can switch the bulbar to the lower 63 looking one? thats really the only thing that bothers me lol.
Also is it worth getting the 24, being that a 25 is coming with a small facelift? not sure how big of a facelift and if the lack of V8 will raise demand. Any insight is appreciated.
Black Series cars are definitely worth the premium given the actual mechanical/engine/performance/visual upgrades and they're limited in numbers.
Final Editions have never been worth it to me, at least from Mercedes. It was the same thing with the E63S where the final edition cost considerably more for some extra badges and it didn't even come fully optioned. Whereas a "normal" E63S from the same model year with every single optioned ticked ended up being cheaper....
Do whatever makes you happy, but if the rumours of this being the last year with no hybridization/electrification have any legs; then Id personally go with a "normal" 24 and option it out however you like. Going forward I dont think the hybrid or EQG's will be as special nor will they hold their values as well as 19-24's.
They are producing 1,500 of each color. Dealer offered me a G550 Final Edition at MSRP but I purchased a G63 instead, thinking the resale value would be better. I also didn't like the excess badging of final edition plastered everywhere. However, the cross-stitch leather headliner to match the seat insert color, that's pretty swank. If it had the Professional Package on it for the price, I would have gone for the G550. I really like the roof rack and wood floor in the boot (mini 4x4 squared), but these are not on the Final Edition.
2025 G550 will have a V6, the G63 will continue to have the V8 (plus maybe an electric motor assist for 600+hp?). Plus the new electric G.
