Map a physical button to CarPlay and/or map a favorite to a CarPlay app?
Hello,
The title basically says it all. I'm looking for a convenient way to program a button to conveniently open CarPlay.
Additionally, is there an option to add a CarPlay app (Google Maps) to the Favorites menu?

No and no. CarPlay is largely its own island. The physical buttons in the car control COMAND. I think if you use Siri and issue a command with CarPlay in the background it comes to the foreground, such as if you ask Siri to call somebody or start navigation. But basically CarPlay should start up automatically and open as soon as you connect the phone. If you ever go back to COMAND you'll have to go the homescreen and select CarPlay at the top to go back to CarPlay.
