Oil consumption advice

New G63. 1500 miles. One bar down from
max to middle.

any idea how much oil that is?

is that typical?

typical? yes.
less than 1/2 a litre.
do not top off; add maybe 100/200ml at a time, drive it for 5/10 miles and let it recalibrate (for some reason it doesn't do right away so will have to wait)

2000 miles and level at estimated 80% between min and max

Dipsticks never lie. These electronic sensors are known to fail, and you have to hunt for the display level gauge. Some ideas are so dumb there's no explanation or defense.
