My Mercedes Me app is showing an Over Air update available. I've been out in the vehicle several times and it still hasn't uploaded. It is a map update. Is there any way to force the update or should I just be patient?

 

You can update via SD card (there's an application to download to your computer to get the contents onto the SD card). Once you start the update you can still use your maps (I didn't since I use CarPlay) and it can update over multiple drive cycles. Basically I just inserted the card, started the update, and went about my business. Pretty simple process. Another benefit to the manual update method — you can update all map region data and not just the singular home region like OTA provides. All the region data was around 30GB, if I remember correctly.

 

Mine did an OTA update without any input from me. Yesterday an info box popped up “System Updates Complete” or something like that and when I clicked out the submenu shown showed map updates.
