24’ G63 with 10K ADM in CA
Not true. I got a MY24 G63 at MSRP and others on this forum have as well. However, it does take work to find one and is dependent on what market you’re in. That said $10k ADM is decent so if it’s the spec you want I’d move forward with it.
so I think the current market in CA is MSRP to 10-20K
I was in the same spot as you - my dealer wanted initially 50k, but quickly came down to 30, then 25, then 20k. The sweet spot right now is 10-15k, if you have a relationship it could be less.
DM where you got it for msrp?

With the current state of car sales, I don’t get how dealers can get ADM. I paid $221,950 MSRP for a 2024 G63, the same color exact same spec vehicle just sold yesterday online for $212,800 with 863 miles. One with 10k miles, same spec is for sale at $198k.
An interesting note is that the vehicle with 863 miles had a starting price of $10k over, and didn’t sell until it was $10k under.

Ouch for those who paid ADM. Those $$$s have evaporated.

Stand firm at MSRP and tell them that the 2025s are out so you can shop around and get one for the same - no need to pay extra for a 1 year old vehicle.

Original post is from May 2024--different times.
2024 and earlier values are dropping because the 2025s are updated, not as radically as say 2018 versus 2019 but still an update.
I suspect (and hope) 2025's will hold value much better than 2024s.

I wonder if I’d be better off just keeping the 2024 for another year, until things settle down. ie: 2nd year depreciates less than the 1st year. Say $30k the 1st year and $10k the 2nd year.
Hard to say. On one hand the depreciation curve typically flattens over time, but on the other hand it's another model year lost and G buyers (and thus dealers) typically don't like that as much.
I also imagine your dealer won't be happy if you back out of the copper orange build?

and I'd like to follow up that I never did get a slot and now we're into 2026 builds and Copper Orange Magno is no longer available. That's a bummer. Also, the dealer has now ghosted me. So now I'm starting over.

If you are determined to buy a G 63 with the specs you want, and you can get it now, a $10K ADM isn't too bad. A hundred years from now nobody is going to remember anyway

Sometimes the price is secondary to timing and selection, and the dealers with high allocations (usually can deliver on orders not just waiting lists) might work with you a little bit from their higher asking price, the high volume dealers might even push through a lower profit unit, but in general, they will get at or near their price. If this were not true, there should be a surplus of unsold G-Wagons and (to my knowledge) I do not think there is such an abundance of these vehicles around. I do think if you keep looking there are dealers that would do it at MSRP. If someone is looking there should hang in there, best of luck.
