How are folks feeling about the Offroad Package Pro?

I'm having a hard time with the spare tire holder and seems like only in the EU configurator you can order it without the tubular spare setup.

 

This is the exact issue I am having with the photos of the this color I have seen. Seems very dark , almost brown!

 

How can I do this? Says Log In and no idea how to get access?

Good question @rage2122 . While I like some elements of the Offroad Package Pro, am going to pass on it. Like you, am not a fan of the Professional Spare Wheel Holder as MBUSA terms it in the U.S. order guide. The Professional Roof Rack looked neat in the preview drives, in my view, but @AmyC already has me nervous about the height of the G in parking garages, and that is without the roof rack.

In addition to having the option of the Offroad Package Pro, personally I would like to see an AMG Offroad Package offered for the G63 with the twin 5-spoke wheels, the all-terrain tires, and the AMG Active Ride Control suspension without the roof rack and spare wheel holder (the non-Pro Offroad Package would essentially be last year’s AMG Trail Package but with AMG Active Ride Control).

Unfortunately MBUSA offers less flexibility with options and packages for the U.S. market, which is disappointing. For example, I would really like to order the AMG Active Ride Control suspension as a stand-alone option, as well as add the black running boards and black exhaust system with the regular Night Package, without having to get the Night Package Plus. The German configurator permits all of this and more, but the U.S. order guide says otherwise.

 

I have a 23 G63 and putting in an order for a 25 but looks like it won’t arrive until November. I am thinking the 25s will start arriving in September. For folks that have ordered what is your delivery date?

Also, anyone have experience with the white platinum seats, thinking of doing the panda seats but not sure how dirty the white gets or dyes from blue jeans?

 

I’ve been offered the dealerships launch vehicle, but they don’t know what they’re sending them. Mine is being built in October and I’ll have it before the end of the year, maybe the end of November. That’s when my 21 and 24 arrived.

 

I had a white G with the light cream interior and I would never get a light interior like that ever again. Seats get dirty and even jeans can stain it. I had to get the seat re-dyed twice over my 7 years of ownership to keep it looking nice. I would highly recommend the lightest color you get be a tan interior.

 

Fully agree with this. Absolute dirt magnets.

 

I agree, I would never order a white interior.

 

I noticed jean transfer on the red and saddle interior. White looks nice in pictures but I'd never order it either.

 

Hi all, been a while since ive been on here. interested in a 2025 g550. drove a family members 2019 550 . the v8 snarls. I was surprised-the truck is a lot of fun to drive. Im sure some of the sound will be lost with the turbo 6
Do we know the msrp of the 2025 g550 model? perhaps it was posted in this thread but i cant find it. thanks!

Not sure what the U.S. MSRP will be for the 2025 G63 as I don’t believe MBUSA has released it just yet. @AMGRonin started a friendly bet last month in this thread. Hope this helps.

 

This ordering guide is a mess.

The AMG Carbon Fiber package can’t be ordered with either night package but the description of the CF package makes no mention of the brush guard color, running board color, emblems, etc.

And of course there is no functional configurator in the US.

Does anyone have more info on the CF package and what it includes? Thanks!

 

If there is a dealer nearby you can meet with a salesperson and go over all of it in the system, but the ordering guide you see here is all there is for now.

 

It’s a ****ing mess. The fact that this is the process that’s used is ridiculous.

 

My dealer wasn't able to provide any additional information.

As of now, I ended up going with the "DC3 MANUFAKTUR Dark Chrome Package" instead of the "DC4 AMG Carbon Fiber Package".

 

I couldn’t order the exterior carbon fiber and the dark chrome package, so I didn’t order the exterior carbon fiber package. The running boards and exhaust tips would be in chrome, not dark chrome or black.

Just got my 2025 G63 PO # for 1st week in October build date. Also heated armrests is a new option not shown on the order guide.

 

Congratulations, I had a first week of October build, but found out yesterday that Mercedes has moved up my build date. I assume it will be built in September. My dealership said it will be one of the first ones to be built.

Great to know heated armrests are available. Are they a standalone option or part of a package? If you happen to know the option code for them, that would be really helpful. Thank you very much.

Seems to be a standalone option.

 

The AMG Performance Package is a $5,600 option that includes ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL and the new 22" Cross-Spoked wheels in gold. I want the new suspension, but not the gold wheels.

The gold wheels are a $4k option by themselves. On the European configurators, you can swap out the wheels out for something else in the same price range. But according to my dealer, the package ONLY comes with the gold wheels, so to get say the monoblocks you have to pay another $5,400.

Can anyone confirm this is true? I do not see an option to add just the ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL.

 

You are correct. Active Ride Control is not a standalone option and can only be ordered as part of the AMG Performance Package. You can switch wheels for an additional expense.
