2025 Brush Guard Removal

On the 2025 G550, the brush guard removal is easier than changing a tire. It took literally less that 30 minutes to remove the brush guard (one person). I am now looking for covers for the brush bar gromets.

Post some pictures of the after removal if you can.

Hello and congrats on your G550! Not sure if others here on the forum have different suggestions, but one possibility is a front bumper cover kit from G-wagonaccessories. Some of the photos on the product details page on their site show these on a 2025 G550 so you can get a good idea of what they look like.

Please note I have no affiliation at all with their site. Here is a link to the above-mentioned kit:

Hope this helps. As @Fittske mentioned it would be great to see some photos of what your 550 looks like without the brush guard.

Does anyone know how to get the front star in black? Mercedes Part Number?

I don't have plans on doing this but am just generally curious how this impacts the camera since it's embedded in the guard now? Guessing you just removed it or did you manage to reroute it elsewhere?

Thanks for the note. On 25 G550 front camera is at the lower portion of the bumper, 19 inches above ground. This lower camera supports MB invisible bonnet or see through bonnet so that camera can see right in front of the car as if you could look straight down through the engine compartment. Camera is not attached to the brush guard.

That's interesting, I just assumed most components would be nearly 1:1 across the G's where applicable. I wonder what the decision would be to have the G550s maintain the 2024 setup vs the G63s 2025 location.
