Mercedes Mobile App - background appearance and name of G
Does anyone know if you can customize the wallpaper background and/or the “name” of the car in the App? It’s very different looking for 2025 versus 2020 (way better looking in both wording and the wallpaper!). The 2025 is blue and boring and the naming of the car is not as good versus the red background for the 2020. See pics.

not sure why they changed it but the answer is no you can't customize it. The AMG models are all supposed to get the red background so not sure what happened there or maybe they stopped doing that for some odd reason. The background also changes depending on the holiday as well as for certain seasons, in the winter it changes to a snowy background for example.
Unfortunately not. To echo the above, the AMG specific background disappeared a few years ago for me after an update. It's a shame and I've complained but nothing changed. The name is even worse for me. It shows the wrong model year. The app thinks my car is MY21 when it is MY19. After several tickets it's still not fixed. On the Mercedes me connect website, the name can be customized, but beats me why the customized name doesn't carry over to the app. The only thing that's customizable and shows up in both places is the license plate below the name.
