Distorted Door Light on both sides

My brother has this on his 2020 G550 (same dirty look). I assumed it was a mod put on afterwards - like a film over the lens to make it look like it's an off-road Mercedes (dirty MB sign). Or maybe it's defective. I'm curious what others report.

I believe the projector lens inside the housing gets condensation or the plastic film deteriorates. The whole light unit needs to be replaced on each side. Your dealer should know about it check if it's still under warranty. If not, the parts aren’t too expensive but it’s a bit of a job to fit them.
