Appreciate all the Insight guys. I've been trying to figure out next vehicle and I keep coming back to the 4x4 squared. I text drove an 18 in LA last year for fun and wow it's a tank.
I've made me decision!
If anyone knows of anyone selling a preferably a 22 or 23 let me know!

 

Even an unoptioned G550 at MSRP is way over-priced for what it is intrinsically. If you can afford a 4x4 without putting your kids up for adoption, and it makes you happy, go for it. Some folks get hung-up on model years. My G550 is a '19 with 27K on its odo, not a scratch and meticulously maintained. I wouldn't trade it even money for a '26.

@Mikey25 - if you can get your hands on the new 4x4 go for it. rides and sounds better than the regular 25+ G63.

 

how does it ride better?

 

Larger tires help absorb some road imperfections. I was actually surprised at how well it rides. I will say the 25+ regular G63 with the new AMG Ride Control does ride better than the pre '25 models. The 4x4 Squared just feels a little less jarring over bumps due the extra tire sidewall.

 

thanks @The Butcher .unlike the regular pre-2025 models on irregular or jarred road surfaces, don't have to worry experimenting tire pressure settings to get a smooth ride. the 2025 on the other hand feels a bit floaty to me but yeah rides better than the older ones.
