Looks really good. I personally really like the change to black, it definitely is a nice detail. I have the Night Package Plus, so my decals came in black, otherwise I would have swapped them out as well.

The other day I saw a 2025 G550 and it had an interesting added emblem. As you know, there is an AMG Line package for the G550, which gives you some features found on the AMG version. This G550 had that package, but the owner also put on the "AMG" emblem on the back - on the right of the vehicle where G63 is found on that vehicle. No judgement, but I was curious what others thought of adding this emblem on a G550. I am not interested in it, as I purposely chose this vehicle that fit best for my needs, though I did want the AMG Line package on my G550, so I am glad I have that. That gives you the AMG floor mats, etc., but there is no exterior badging of course.

I know the badging you are referring to and you can buy it as a Mercedes OEM part on ebay, I would stay away from the chinese knock-offs. I have mixed feelings on it, it used to be taboo to up-badge your vehicle, the classic example being adding an M badge to a non-M BMW, but these days BMW prostitutes the M badge to all variety of trim specs that have no performance component, so they have done it to themselves by plastering the M badge all over common vehicles. Mercedes has done the exact same thing with the AMG badging which used to be exclusive to AMG produced engines, but now they sell trim packages with AMG badging all over. So I personally have no issue with a suble AMG badge added especially if you have the AMG trim package on a 550.

Where I draw the line is swapping a G550 with a G63 badge . Frankly the power move is to de-badge a G63, I love when I see the top trim spec of a car that has been completely de-badged.

Thanks for the response... There are definitely a lot of Chinese knock-offs of badging on eBay! It's an interesting observation how the car manufacturers are approaching this and how it has evolved. I think you make an excellent point, the G550 with the AMG Line package does have the AMG style steering wheel, exhaust differences (sound), pedals, AMG floor mats, etc., so I am fine if people want to add the /////AMG badge to the back. But, I definitely also draw the line if you were to swap G550 for G63, that would not be honest at all. I also really like de-badged vehicles. I thought about removing the G550 from mine, but just have not yet. Thanks for your interesting perspective.
