2026 G63 Carbon Emerald Green - its here

After having an order in with Mercedes for a while with no clear delivery date, I lost patience.

Spoke to a dealer who orders in bulk and flips cars. They had a Carbon Edition in Emerald Green coming in at about £7.5k over list, which felt fair.

It’s arrived now and I’m completely smitten.

Plan is to keep it, although I do have a habit of swapping more often than I should.

I did consider a W463, but glad I went W465. The tech and upgrades feel like a proper step forward.

Ride quality is better than expected and the build quality feels exceptional.

I’ve had a Scorpion tracker and immobiliser fitted for peace of mind. Also looking at a spare wheel lock, but £200 feels a bit steep.

Full PPF is next

The running-in period is the painful part. What’s the consensus, stick to Mercedes guidance or change the oil at around 1k miles?

Looks great congrats!

After the 2019 redesign, Mercedes no longer required early oil changes. I would just do it when the car tells you to.

G63 and others
Maybe because it was my first G wagon I'm partial, but emerald green is a favorite of mine on the G - and even better a free choice here in US. Huge congrats, looks amazing!

I have a W463 550 in Emerald Green and I think it's the most underrated color for the G Class. Only way I can describe it in the sunlight is "inky" green. Just an absolutely beautiful color. Congratulations on your new ride!

I know what you mean about the inky tint.

I think they could probably get away with doing the porsche thing in giving two crappy colours for free and charging more for anything nice. I actively sought a non magno car.
