Very exciting. Looking forward to receiving my own similar good news!

Do we think there is any chance that these will show up with the new M177 Evo engine (flat-plane crankshaft) as a surprise? What about the engine auto-stop/start feature? I'd prefer to retain the old engine but see the stop/start "feature" go away.

I highly doubt we will see the new M177 engine come as a surprise for 2027, as I would think there would need to be a longer re-tooling time before the new model year was being produced with that engine? Though, I am not entirely sure.

I would LOVE for the Auto start/stop feature to be GONE for 2027 - that would be amazing. I always turn it off immediately after starting the vehicle. At least it's a good location to do that easily.

Hope you get some good updates soon!

Yes, Baltimore is the VPC for my region (New England). I have actually seen on a thread where two G wagons were on the same boat and there was a hold up in Baltimore long enough that the vehicle going to Brunswick actually made it through their VPC sooner and to a carrier. So, we will see how it goes. I am really anxious to learn which shipping vessel our vehicles will be on, as they very well may be on the same one given the timing. That would be cool. I will keep you posted as I learn more about the progress.

I just took delivery of a 2026 E53 Wagon out of Baltimore VPC - my dealer chose VPC pickup and I got it 3 days later vs. waiting on delivery as there have been a lot of delays due to transportation. They had a bunch of vehicles waiting and chose to pick up a few of the priority ones that were sold already.

My 2026 G63 was in Baltimore VPC for almost a month in the November time frame - was told by dealer that they were dealing with some sort of fender issue and they treat the VPC as part of the manufacturing process so some of it was finished in Baltimore (could have been parts issue). Then it waited on a truck to be full which took some time as well.

There are a lot of variables on timing but have found that the dealer and manufacturer both want to get these off their books quickly and onto ours. Good luck and excited to see pictures.

With DF1 night package magno (*not* night package magno plus), I am confused because the mbusa.com website says something different than the build sheet for black running boards and black exhaust tips for 2027 - which is true?

Hi. In looking at the 2027 G class order guide, it looks like DF1 AMG Night Package Magno package comes with spare wheel cover ring and trim bumper elements painted in black magno, P56 - AMG Night Package (magno), brush guard in black, MANUFAKTUR logo package in black, and exterior mirrors painted in black magno. I know the mbusa.com website is still 2026 and not sure if there are changes.

From what I can see from the order guide, the P56 - AMG Night Package includes the following (which would be in magno for DF1): underguard in black, exterior mirrors, spare wheel cover ring and trim bumper in black, and brush guard in black. This is above in the DF1 package. I think in order to get the black running boards and black exhaust tips for 2027, you need the DF4 AMG Night Package Magno Plus, which then includes AMG-specific exhaust system in black and MANUFAKTUR black running boards.

Not sure if that helps or answers your question, but I also thought the black running boards were an option? Sorry if I confused you even more.

Thanks for sharing these details. I would imagine there are some delays right now with transportation vessels and just overall ports. I will be curious to see how things go for those of us with May and June builds.... I don't think VPC pickup is an option for my dealership in Massachusetts.

Well - decided I wanted to go for a 2027, worked with my dealer and secured 9/8 production date allocation and very excited. They offered me a July configurable slot but I passed, because a few options as mentioned above like 22' wheels are "out of stock" for that decade

Going to try matte black to change things up and night package for the first time, passed on the cherry wood trunk floor because on my 2026 I just became OCD about trying to not scratch the wood and don't want to deal with that again

Congratulations on your 2027 order and thanks for posting the details.Your build looks great, that's going to be a really classic looking G63. I am glad you were able to add in the black exhaust tips and running boards as extras. Keep us posted about the build and looking forward to seeing your delivery likely just before the holidays.

^ Thanks very much! One hidden detail I am trying to delete or remove is the Manufaktur Logo Package in black (code "GK2") that by default now comes with every night package equipped cars. There is a hidden option code to delete it if you do not want it, see image below, but that is for a non-magno night package build... My sales guy has no idea

Update-G on the water!

Dealer just updated me yesterday that my G is on the water and ETA to the port is 6/8. He did mention they do not know when they will release it from the VPC though. Same thing happened when I had one of the first new model G in 2020? It sat in the VPC for months until release..

Thanks for the update, your 2027 may be one of the firsts on this thread (maybe forum) to be on the water heading to the port. I believe mine may be on the water by early next week or sooner, I will get an update on Monday as my sales person is n Alabama for training until Sunday. Hopefully our 2027s won't sit for months, that would be a bit annoying after all this waiting. But, it may happen. Keep us posted.
