xenons!!
saw an 07 g500 at the sf auto show and it had xenons, went to the dealer today and asked if i can retro fit to make the xenons work on mine, he said if i can find an adaptor to connect from the old plug to the new. anybody know if i can get a hold of this so called adaptor.

It's totally possible and affordable.
in Dubai they do it installed for less than 200 usd
yo need to know what bulb you need h7, h4...
for the G it H4 and fog light is h7 i think
it take about 45 minutes to install.
Bosch is making it Hid also and I think hella too.
I sure you can find it on ebay

Actually, I think what he is referring to is that the 2007 G-Class comes with bi-xenon headlamps from the factory. I spoke to the parts department at Gargash Motors (Mercedes dealer in Dubai) and they still don't have the part numbers necessary to retrofit these new headlamps onto pre-2007 models. They will cost MUCH more than $200, but they are far superior in terms of performance and reliability compared to standard H4 xenon upgrade kits.
