I was thinking about trading my 05' G55 for the 07' G55 because my friend told me they drive soft like the GL and not rough like the previous G55s....but also I saw the new CL63 and the aston martin vantage and I'm thinking about trading for any of those cars but friends keep telling me to keep the G55 because there more scarce and you dont see them around that much....what do you guys think???

G55 and CL63? No comparison. Get the CL63...a much better car in every aspect.

And CL63s will be more rare than G55s. I see them everywhere in NYC.

 

.....they finally figured out the steering wheel controls for the DVD NAV in the later versions of the 07 G55. The DVD nav is a very desirable feature but I am not sure it is worth the $40k in price difference which you will have to pay.

.......As far as ride comfort, you need not trade in your car for that reason. You can replace your shocks with ones from a G55. The 05 G55 is indermediate in stiffness between the 03 G55 and the G500. I do not think that the suspension for the 07 G55 is different from that in the 05 G55. Be certain your friend is not talking about the 07 G500.

The 2003-04 G55 drove rough, but not the 2005+ ... the seats are supposed to be more comfortable in the 2007's, but drive one and see if you feel a difference?

I agree with Ted ... the 2007 G55's are not worth the premium. Keep your 2005 G55

 

If you mean among people that know what each model letter and # means well i agree it may be more rare,and I am not sure about NYC, but in Fl I see CL everywere and G wagons are the ones that turn heads.

The same thing happens with my SL600 RENNTECH, Most people see the body style and think a 600 is the same car as the 500, or a 55, or a 65, and yes the same thing happens with the G but unlike what you stated I dont think the are more G's on the road than CL's.

I turn more heads in the G55 than any of my other cars, am I the only one that feels this way???

I say stay with the G, but that is just me...
