07 command and stering wheel controls
Just a 411, steering wheel does not control them and also there is no text on the instrument cluster. Tech tried a version code and got the audio label to come up on the screen but no other info to go with it. Oh well just wanted to let ya know so you don't spend hours wasting the dealers time stating the steering wheel controls don't work

This one was new, don't know the born on date, but the instrument cluster had all the menu's accessed via steering control buttons on it (except audio), though on the right side of the wheel the +/- buttons had 2 more buttons that had no labels on them.
Are you saying the audio is going to be incorporated into it? the dealership tech went through it for hours, and was only able to get the word "audio" to come up on the cluster, and the command unit would not respond to the +/- buttons. Though they did take the command and toss it in a GL and it worked flawlessly with the steering wheel controller and instrument display. Also the GL command did the same as the G's command when in the G

2013 G 63 AMG
The 2007 G-Class being delivered in the US right now is a ******* child of sorts. It's a mix of electronics from the 2006 and 2007.5 models sold elsewhere, which is why everything doesn't work the way it should. For example, your car doesn't have the new speedo and uses the old steering wheel. The cars being delivered in Dubai now have a new speedo/tach and the steering wheel from the CLS and all functions, including phone and audio controls, work fine.
It's unfortunate that MBUSA took the decision to import these G-wagens with frankenstein interiors. They should just waited a few months and shipped them with the complete new interior and electronics from the European 2007.5 model:
