Veloce Performance Tune

Will be doing a Veloce Performance tune via the OBD2 late this afternoon on my recently acquired 2005 G55K.

So far the service and prompt response by Dino has been exceptional.

The initial "seat of the pants" result will be posted followed up by G-Tech data...

I'm very curious. I'd like to see someone finally do a before and after dyno with their stuff in.

Installed the tune via the OBD2 this morning.
Took about fifteen minutes.

Results?

Much more then I expected...
First gear rolling start produced what can be described as a four wheel torque steer..if there is such a thing.

Power band and SC comes in much lower..
Presses you back in your seat...

I can compare to my 300CE M103-12V TT which on a Mustang Dyno has produced @ 7lbs boost, 302lbft torque at the rear wheels ..

The "Big Box" seems to pull as strong in first gear as the much lighter C124...

Definately recommend the tune and the first class service and instant communication that Dino provides...

Priced right with "Powerchip" and advantage that you do not have to remove your ECU..just tune via the OBD2 !!

Is that what the dyno computer read out stated? "Much more than expected".

I have been contemplating a Veloce ECU/Pulley tune for the G55, but not going to spend money on it until I can be assured their claim of "up to 85hp" is legit. I would even accept 65-75hp, but i'm skeptical.

I have yet to see someone post before and after dyno's.

Competitive with Powerchip, much less then Kleeman.
Contact Dino and he'll give you the price.
Would recommend the OBD2 install route as it's a no brainer and you don't have to remove your ECU.

And your point is ?

I'm not sure of your motorsport experience, but if you have either road race or even drag background you can tell how fast comparitively your vehicle is performing.

There are no four wheel drive dynos in my area, so that negated before and after pulls.

Dyno numbers are nothing more then a tool to see what the mod has accomplished.
Many variables on the road that the dyno can't replicate.
The load dyno such as Mustang more closely replicates road performance.

I'll stand by my comment, that the performance has increased substantially.
More power ? Broader power curve? Better throttle response ? All of the above ?

I have been contemplating a Veloce ECU/Pulley tune for the G55, but not going to spend money on it until I can be assured their claim of "up to 85hp" is legit. I would even accept 65-75hp, but i'm skeptical.

Understand your need for assurance, but the dyno pulls of another vehicle will not be "assurance" that your vehicle will be identical.
I reiterate...too many variables as your vehicle is unique and can't be replicated by another G55K.

I'd base my decision on the service provided by Dino alone, as he communicates quickly and shows a great deal of integrity...

I'll post some G-Tech Pro results as soon as I retrive my G-tech from a friend

Installed the K&N filters this morning.

They more then compliment the tune....
Much better response and smooth power delivery from around 1500 rpm.

Very satisfied...
