Bike rack options on W463
Gents,
Have any of you mounted a bike rack on your G? I don't want any chincy setup with straps, I'd like to know if there is a specific kit out there for the G - either through Mercedes or a 3rd party. I'm about to pickup my first new bike in many years and want to use the G to transport it along with the woman's bike. My '09 G does not have provision for a tow hitch but I knew RENNTech has a kit as well as there being an OEM solution, both of which I may consider.
Any advice is appreciated.

This response might be too-little too-late, but it could help.
Bicycles fit easily inside the G, because of the high ceiling clearance. The only issue is with very long-wheelbase bikes, like cruisers. But for regular road bikes, no problems, even up to 61cm size.
I've easily fit two bicycles and four people inside, and after removing the front wheels, as many as three bicycles and three people. Really the G is an excellent bike hauler.

This is my Thule set-up...
387 Gutter - High Foot Pack
58" Load Bars (you don't need the 65's)
594XT SecureHook Sidearms. There are three there but can easily hold four.
If I had to do it over again I would have bought the Thule 964 Revolver which holds bikes and swings-out to allow rear door to open.

Yokohama Geolander AT/S
285/60 R18 116H
Great ride true A/S and higher mileage (just that the speedometer is 2mph fast 'cause of the higher circumference than the stock 265/60 R18's)
