Deals on the G?
Anyone know what the deals are on a new G55? I am looking at a 2011 to replace my GL550 and they are offering me 65 for mine and 115 for theirs with 1.9%. Any idea if this is a good deal?

Simple: Inventory carrying cost is expensive and financial books close at year end. Dealers need to show positive cash flow on Jan 1. The interest on millions of dollars of inventory is staggering. MB Financial gives better financing than off the street.
GL550 is HOT in the used market because of poor residual value. 2011 G's are cool in the new market for the same reason, also there is no justification for the increase in price from MY'10 to MY'11.
Depending on your location, you may be one of only two customers interested in a G this month! So they are desperate to unload this thing to the most serious buyer. That being said; MB Manhattan or Fletcher Jones would probably not have made this deal.

Yea MB Manhattan were grade A douche bags when I called them. He told me he not only had the only G55 on the east coast but I was also lucky he was taking 4 grand off of it. Right after I told him to go f himself I went and picked up my new G wagen from MB Massapequa. Its in my driveway now and boy is it different than my GL.

Congrats on the new ride you now own a "Super Car". Lets see how your back holds-out a year from now.
The G and GL have nothing in common. They share no parts, no design similarities and no history.
The G is built by hand on dollies by Austrian Master Technicians. The GL is built on the line by robots alongside Alabama's finest.
The G is lucky to sell 900/ year in the US...The GL sells more than 15,000

All the little bits they knocked off the 2011 G55's are adding to the margin over what the 2010's sold for as well. Looks good and enjoy in health. Thumbs on the stradale as well.
