Break Wear

I've got about 17k on my 2010 G55 and have just gone through my second set of break pads, apparently (so says the dashboard indicator). I do mostly city driving, hard braking, and that city is very "hilly" so I'm assuming that this isn't completely out of the norm; however, I'm curious what others are getting out of the brake pads and what is your driving style.

Dealer said one of his G55 customers is wearing his @ <5k

What are ppl paying to replace pads in the G?

At the dealer you'll get raped...I have been running EBC Red pads ( almost no brake dust) ; they are about $220 irrc and $15 for new sensors and about $100-$150 for the install from an indie

Well, got jammed for 1400 at the dealer for pads all around and front rotors at just under 18k mi. Had a well respected independent shop quote me 1100 for the same job. Had new pads replaced at around 7.5k as well.

Never herd of any vehicle going through two sets of pads and front rotors in such a short period of time.
