Hey guys,

I just recieved my 2011 G55

when i connect my iPhone 4S to the cable in the glove box , it shows me on the screen that the device is incompatible and I cant play anything ?

how can I fix the issue ?!

or can I use bluetooth instead to play the songs ?!

On my G55 the connection in the glovebox only works on a standard iPod not on the iPhone.

I don't think the G55 system can do bluetooth streaming, certainly not the software version that I have in mine. It may be different in other parts of the world.

Seems odd as this should work. The iphone 4 will not charge but should play music fine. There are also adapters that fix the iphone 4 not charging that should work.

Try to plug in the iphone 4 again; and hit the "disc" button a few times as it cycles through the various modes that include the SD card, cd players and ipod / aux controls.

Here is an example of an adapter that will allow the MB plug to charge the iphone 4 / 4s. I've not used but these supposedly work:

I keep doing that and it still shows device incompatible , no luck so far ! i tried using also the adapter and still the message "device incompatible"

The weird thing that it actually charges but doesnt play the music.
