2010 G55 AMG speed bump problem

hi guys i have a 2010 g55amg I've had it since new and have taken really good care of it and haven't gotten almost any problems, recently i was driving around 100kms per hour and i missed a speed bump i tried to brake but it was too late. i figured being a G wagon and all its tough enough and hoped for no damage then i noticed an unusual sound if i kick down accelerate after 4500 to 6000 like a weird vibration definitely different from the original sound seen as I'm the only one who drove it 55,000kms and know the car very well.also when going back and fourth over speed bumps you notice a definite creaking sound like something is broken in the front suspension. also i don't know if its related or no but it also has very low revs that i feel its going to switch off that even the interior lights blink and it coughs a little

i don't know if all these things are related to the speed bump or if anyone has experienced the same

im scheduled to take it to the dealership soon but seen as our dealership is a very bad dealership who never actually be honest i would like to know if any of you guys can help

I'm attaching a few youtube videos if you listen carefully you can hear it

thanks in advance i really appreciate it

There's a possibility you may have broken a front spring which has been known to happen on the AMG's. Do you notice funny behavior when braking or turning the wheel left and right while moving slowly?

For the low rev issue, there may have been a vacuum hose that came loose on the intake area.

Also check your bushings, look underneath your front suspension and have a visual check. I lost my bushing a couple of times during harsh off roading - and the sound on your youtube reminds me of that clank because of the rubber being gone.
Like BonitaBeast said; does the car handle normal or is something out of whack? If it handles normal I would bet just a bushing (usually rubber got busted up) , otherwise shocks / springs are most likely candidates. If the shocks are gone - you would normally feel it under braking and wobbly tire, and usually you can see fluid on the shock absorber. Take a flashlight underneath the car - usually not too hard to spot the problem yourself.

how does the car feel when you go over bumps now? Bouncier?

What a strange car the G-class is. It takes a hit on the road and interior lights go bunkers.

I am tempted to say it's not related to the speed bump hit. I went through a pot hole the size of 2-3 soccer ***** at 120km/h on a US highway with no light at night in my 2010 G55 and had zero problems. The car did squirm abruptly but I held the steering wheel straight and strong otherwise God knows. If it was a car with independent suspension, I think that tire (and parts holding it to the car) would be in pieces. I had it checked 2 days later at the dealer just in case and it was all fine.

You said the dealership isn't known to be frank, can't you take it to another one or a private Mercedes specialist? I suspect it may be a quick tune up or small part replacement.

suspension noise

Hi guys,

i think a have got the same noise as hbahrain, but not only with high speed even if am driving at lower speed with any little tiny vibration the sound appears, i have been to the dealer and they said nothing serious all the G class have noise problems or we change the front suspensions and see what will happen, another guy told me try to lubricate the suspensions and others said just lubricate the rear door and the engine hod. it is extremely noisy sound especially from outside the car everyone can hear it which can be a shame on G class owner to have this noise in the car. please guys if you have any suggestions let me know

thanks
