2004 G55 Shocks
Does anyone know if the 04 shocks are the same as the ones used on the 03 G55?
There seem to be a lot of complaints about the hard ride and I was wondering if they went to the G500 shocks for 04.

No changes
My 2004 G55 has the same stiff AMG shocks. Replacing them with G500 shocks is a simple option, since the rest of the suspension is the same.
In my case, I'm going to stick with the AMG shocks. The roads in Dubai are generally very good and the stiffer shocks help at high speeds (have a long highway journey to work at 120-160 km/h depending on traffic).
On rough dirt/gravel roads the G55 shocks are HORRIBLE, but I've found that lowering tire pressure slightly helps.
