To all with Mercedes mate black trucks/upkeep/care
How does that paint hold up. Is it easy to get scratched, does to get swirl marks! Is it durable? Dealer is offering me a mate black with carbon interior but I'm scared of the mate black paint. Called around people I know and got mixed answers.
I always hand wash my cars and always take good care of them. I have a parking spot but it's outside so it be exposed to the elements ever, and I also have two kids(one is on the way my wife is due in May :) Thank You all in advance!!! |
My buddy has a matte yellow aventador and says its very easy to care for. However there are specific soaps, chemicals etc to use and not use. Let me look up the names.

I think the most alarming thing was the fact that you can't really fix scratches and damage to the paint as you would with a traditional clear coat finish. You basically have to repaint the damaged section. If I were you I would probably just Satin Guard the entire vehicle that way I wouldn't have to worry too much about damaging the paint with daily use. |
My stock silver wheels looked awful after about a week of driving so I powdercoated them black. World of a difference. Still turns bronze after a while but much less noticeable than when they were silver.
